Our mission, in partnership with God, is to honour each individual and provide a nurturing environment that inspires spiritual self-discovery as we create authentic community together.

A Mutual Ministry Review process was gathered information from entire community. This information used to assess how well the ministry met the objectives for 2008 and to determine where we wanted to focus for 2009. This process included appreciative inquiry processes with the board, staff, and congregation. In reviewing the data, three major areas of focus seemed important for 2009:
- Vision/Identity
- Community Building
- Worship
1. Objectives for Vision/Identity:
Objective #1: Create a clear and compelling vision that unites everyone in working together synergistically to co-create our experience and be a beacon of light to the world.
- Goal #1: Review/revise Core Values and develop codes of behaviour to assist us in living them as a community
- Goal #2: Engage facilitator to work with community on visioning process that will allow us to focus and direct the organization around Core Values and shared vision/mission
2. Objectives for Community Building:
Objective #1: Relocate church to new location in smooth, effective manner that involves and builds community identity, and supports individuals through process of change.
- Goal #1: Involve community in transition through the use of teams for packing, sorting, moving, selling etc.
- Goal #2: Create a way to honour and celebrate around move to assist people in releasing the old and embracing the new
- Goal #3: Provide pastoral support to assist those experiencing discomfort with the transformation process
Objective #2: Continue to develop a committed, creative, involved membership that works synergistically together to co-create our experience
- Goal #1: Continue with Thriving Ministries program (either through Transformation Experience or Thriving in Unity 2.0)
- Goal #2: Continue to build transparency and encourage open communication (Agreeing and Disagreeing in Love Covenant)
- Goal #3: Ongoing classes to enhance spiritual development, understanding of Unity principles, and develop leadership skills
- Goal #4: Move to 2-tier membership structure
- Goal #5: Offer 2 Sunday series with Sacred Circles to deepen experience and to assist community in supporting one another's spiritual development
- Goal #6: Offer ongoing opportunities for connection/relationship building both in and outside of church
Objective #3: Create an empowered and committed Service Ministry around Core Values/Vision/Mission
- Goal #1: Training for leaders to assist them in building team approach to ministry
- Goal #2: Create clear agreements with service ministry people and hold them accountable
- Goal #3: Create open channels of communication that enable people to give and receive feedback that supports everyone in growing and striving for excellence
- #4: Ministers to serve as coaches/mentors to team leaders
Objective #4: Touch the greater community through loving service through the development of spiritual social action initiatives
3. Objectives for Worship:
Objective #1: Create a powerful, dynamic, and transformative Sunday morning experience that facilitates a connection with Spirit and spiritual development. - Goal #1: Develop the service as a "seamless robe" – a smooth, uninterrupted flow that is experienced as one unbroken experience by:
- Goal #2: Support speakers in staying authentically connected to message and congregation
- Goal #3: Create 2 dynamic services this year which are more participatory in nature.
Objective # 2: All those involved with Sunday morning experience work synergistically together and take ownership of their part in co-creating this experience.
- Goal #1: All individuals understand the part they play in co-creating the Sunday morning experience, take responsibility, and are held accountable.
